Hi
This happends on a srv that is running W2k, SP4
I have a problem that a lot of people seems to have.
If I click on the Windows Update button on the start menu,
nothing happends. IEXPLORER.EXE appears in the task
man/processes.
If I run Windows update from the tools menu in IE, it scan
my srv and reports missing hotfixes. When I try to
download, the dialog just stays there. No download takes
place
I can search for the downloads manualy, find them,
downloads them and install them. Next time I run Windows
Update, it reports that no hotfixes is ready for download
(That is correct). If I select a driver update it just
hang (no download takes place)
If I open explorer, right clik on a directory and choose
Search, nothing happends.
If I try to open "search for file and folders" from the
start menu, nothing happends
No entries in the eventlog.
The srv is a Compaq DL380, 2x660 MHz proc, 1,2Gb of memory
w/w2k, sp4, I have similar srvs with the same config, no
problems with them
Regards
