Windows Update

I've created a Group Policy to automatically download and
install Windows Updates on all domain clients every night,
but its only working on some clients. It looks like some
of the clients' Automatic Updates settings are overriding
the Group Policy. How can i test this? I do not want to
use SUS, if possible, i'd rather have each client update
from the internet.
 
Have you verified that all clients are receiving the group policy? If you
apply a Windows update policy then the settings are usually greyed out on
the client. GPresult.exe would also be helpful so that you can determine
what policies are being applied. Check the application event log for errors
and post them if the clients have any.

Are the clients that are installing successfully admin

users or domain users? I have not been successful with
either using the scheduled install. I have confirmed that
the clients are receiving the updates by lookin at the log
file that is generated. Also, I have successfully
installed clients using the Auto Download and Notify.
Please help!
