Problem - after downloading automatic updates for Windows
XP Home Edition on two home computers at the same time, my
USB wireless connections on both computers stopped
working. The devices are fine and working with good
signal strength and the Home Portal computer is working
fine (ethernet connection) but Windows cannot see
available networks and will not let me connect or look for
networks. It is almost like something is disabled in
windows. Everything worked great before the Windows
Update was run and the unit rebootted on both machines amd
everything stopped. The DSL provider (2WIRE) and the USB
Wireless manufactures say it is a Windows problem. I have
reinstalled windows and the devices but there is no
change. I cannot seem to find any setting in windows that
has made any change to fix this problem. Is there some
sequence I need to type into the "Run" command to reset
this? Any help?

The same thing happened to me also. I "rolled back" the
driver for the device and it functions fine. The same
issue will happen if you happen to try and install the
driver from the Linksys website as well.

My access point will sometimes freeze I there's too much traffic. I have to
reset the access point, and all is well again.
