HI, everytime I try to obtain updates for windows from the "Tools" menu in IE
I get this error message:

"This website is designed to work with Microsoft Windows operating systems
only.
To find updates for Microsoft products that are designed for Macintosh
operating systems, please visit http://www.microsoft.com/mac/. "

Any suggestions ? This has been going on for quite a while now.

Thanks.
Ziad.

Start > Run > sysdm.cpl
What Operating System are you running and with which Service Pack?
Did the computer come with the OS pre-installed or did you install it?
If pre-installed, who is the System Manufacturer?
If installed from CDROM, what CD was used?

I am using Windows XP which came pre installed on a DELL laptop. I
downloaded the service pack 2 later.

This is a symptom of a site not recognizing your User-Agent string.

Did you try installing an IE7 Beta? <w>

Use this diagnostic site to help see what your browser is sending.
It also links to a reg hack to allow IE7 users to revert to IE6 UAS
for compatibility issues such as yours. It could help even if you
aren't showing IE7 UAS.

Good luck
