Windows update problem

I had to do a repair install of Windows XP MCE and now no updates
install. No special message other than a problem has prevented updates
from installing. Can some one please help?
 
Updates are not installed successfully from Windows Update, from Microsoft Update, or by
using Automatic Updates after you repair a Windows XP installation

Otherwise post to the Windows Update newsgroup:

Thank you I have all but two installed, the XML core and the Service
pack for net framework 1.0 service pack 3.
