Windows Update Problem

Lately, whenever I go to the TOOLS, Windows Update, in IE6, it launches a
page which says that I must use a Windows Operating System to use this
feature.....Say What?
I tried it with Norton Firewall "ON" and "OFF".
Same same.
If I launch it from here, it works fine. Is my IE 6 corrupt? If it is, how
do I do a full re-install.
