Windows Update problem

Someone please help.
Problem, on roughly 300 Windows 2K machines Windows Update
does not seem to function. When running it, it looks like
it is trying to open the windows update page but we then
get (after some time) a TCP error page. This seemed to
happen when the blaster worm came about. We have patch the
systems with the patch and now can not get to windows
update. The automatic downloads seems to function
correctly for the most part on these systems. We have
checked for things we can on our ends but to no avail. On
NT4 server systems in on network they connect fine and
download correctly. We have a couple of XP machines that
will get to the Windows download page, scan correctly but
when we download after accepted the agreement the download
manager appears but never downloads.
All systems Win2K systems have SP4 w IE6 SP1 and updates
to sometime beginning of July.
What can be causing this.
Thanks in advance, also the language is correct under IE

Hi John

Please re-register the following files:

- regsvr32 msscript.ocx
- regsvr32 dispex.dll
- regsvr32 vbscript.dll
- regsvr32 scrrun.dll

1. Click "Start," and then click "Run."
2. Type regsvr32 msscript.ocx in the "Open" box and click "OK."
3. Repeat for dispex.dll,vbscript.dll, and scrrun.dll.

Next, make sure file (open) type .JS is properly associated:

1. In Control Panel, click "Folder Options," and then click "File Types."
2. Locate the .JS extension and click "Advanced."
3. Make sure the "Application to perform action" field contains:
C:\Winnt\System32\WScript.exe "%1" %*

Hope this helps. Regards,

Fabio
