Windows Update Message

When trying to access Windows Update I get thet following
message:

"Thank you for your interest in Windows Update.

Windows Update is the online extension of windows that
helps you get the most out of your computer.

You must be running a Microsoft Windows Operating System
in order to use Windows Update.

I've been using Windows Update until recently (due to this
message) and am definitely using a Microsoft Windows
operating system but cannot get into it at all now.
Anyone know what to do? I have IE 6.0 SP1 on both PCs -
one works fine, this one does not.
 
Make sure the time on your PC is not off by more than 24
hours. I've seen this hose WU before.
