Yes, there is a simple manual way I can think of. As its just a Shortcut in
the Start Menu, you can do the following: Go to this directory:
C:\WINNT\system32 (c:\ = %systemdrive% = the drive where you have
Win2000 installed)
In the System32 Folder, look for a File called "wupdmgr.exe". Now highlight
the file and drag it on your Start Menu by using the right-click mouse
button. Once you have placed the mouse at the desired location in the Start
Menu, choose "Create Shortcut(s) here". There you go.
As a last Action, you might want to rename the "wupdmgr.exe" Shortcut to
"Windows Update" again. Do this by right-clicking the Shortcut and there
entering a new name.
