Windows update KB835732 problem

I can't use Windows update KB835732. It causes
my laptop to consume 99% of CPU time. It takes
1 hr to remove, once removed I am able to get the sasser
worm again.
Microsoft does not seem to supply a fix for everyone or
they make it very difficult to get.
Any workarounds?
