Windows update is blank page

I can't figure out why my Windows XP now displays a
totally blank page whenever I try to go to Windows
Update. I used to be able to go there and check for any
critical updates and then download the updates. Now when
I go there, it is just a blank page with nothing to click
on, nothing to reload. When I try going to Microsoft
support (lack of )knowledge base, there is nothing on
search for this. Am I the only one in the world who has
this problem and what do I do?

Sounds like a variation on the old Blaster denial-of-
service routine.I am not suggesting you have
Blaster,since you are patched..unless you haven't been to
W/U for eons!

Firstly,I'd suggest you run a free online virus scan,just
to rule out the possibility of a virus with Blaster-
like "talents":

Please run a virus scan at any of the locations below:

Trend:
http://housecall.antivirus.com
http://housecall.trendmicro.com

McAfee:
http://www.mcafee.com/myapps/mfs/default.asp

Panda:
http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/

If offered an option to clean or delete,opt for
delete.

In the event you cannot stay online long enough to
complete the
scan,please download and run Stinger (Best saved to
floppy):

Failing that,there are other,spyware avenues that can be
explored.Post back for further assistance.
