I was looking at different things about the worm virus.
One thing It said to do was to go to start menu, all
programs, and click on window update. My question
is ,where is that icon? I donot see the windows update
icon anywhere . Please help , new to all this. thanks

Hi,

Depending upon your configuration, you may not see it. Right-click the
taskbar, choose properties and go to the start menu tab. Change to classic
mode, you should now be able to see it at the top of the start menu.

If not, that just simply means the shortcut is missing. Open Windows
Explorer to this folder:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu

Click file/new/shortcut, browse to wupdmgr.exe in the C:\Windows\system32
folder and select it. Click next, call it "Windows Update" and finish. This
should now show the icon in the start menu.
