Hey everyone,
I am running W2K TS with SP4 on a Compaq DL380 G2 1.2Ghz, with 1200MB RAM,
and 72 GB RAID 5. I am remapping My Documents for about 120 users(8GB),
file sharing for all departments (10GB), serving 22 TS Clients who mostly
use a telnet terminal emulator, hosting Intranet Website (small), hosting a
few other small applications. This is the only server I have so I can't
test these updates properly. I also can't reboot 45 times a week so I do a
bi-monthly update.
Well the problems started on the 13th or 14th with a group of about 6
hotfixes. The system has just been running too slow for the telnet apps to
function adequately. I am not having the CPU peg problem, I am still
running below 10%, but the applications are just dragging. I did as I read
in the news groups and uninstalled the patches one by one all the way back
to SP4 with no improvement. I uninstalled SP4 and reapplied with still no
improvement. I am looking at the repair from CD option that the gent from
Europe posted.
Is anyone else seeing this problem?
Thanks,
Andy Caldwell
