I have had to replace the hard disk on my computer. It
crashed shortly after the blaster virus got in. I have
been assured that this was a coincidence as the blaster
virus cannot damage the hard drive.
However having reinstalled Xp the virus has reappeared. I
get the standard blaster message that the computer will
be closed down in a minute.
When I run symantec's fix blast it reports that there is
no virus.
When I try to install the windows patches they dont seem
to install. It goes through the motions of installing
them but when I return to check for updates it tells me I
need to update the same files. I am going round in
circles.
Any advice would be welcome
