Hello
I've seen notes in the group where it says windows update does not
work on windows XP embedded. Is this a bug or an old issue? When I
browse the control panel it has a reference under See Also for windows
update. Also when I run add remove programs it shows a section for
windows update.
What is the deal? Is this a bug, limitation in the eval version, an
acceptable problem?
Also, about add remove programs. Does it work? I installed flash and
shockwave, but when I go to add remove programs it only shows the
broken link to windows update and not flash or shockwave.
I tried to install vim (www.vim.org) and it installed, but when I
tried to run add remove programs the app quit coming up. You click
the application and it just turns the control panel framebar gray. ie.
goes to background.
Is there a known application which installs/removes using the
add/remove tool?
Does anybody ship a product using windows XP embedded? If so, what
does your product do? If its on a network, can you install security
patches?
