I am sure some of you are well aware of this but I offer
it for all who may not. Microsoft does offer some help
(this time free) with know issues regarding windows
update and Hotfixes. The page can be found at

Hi Gene,
Have you cleared up your problems (if any) with Windows updates? If not, post back.
BTW, the support via Web assist has been there for a very long time. I recall using it several years back, when I was still on Win 98. :)
