Each machine accessing a Terminal Server must have:
1 Windows Client Access License (WCAL).
1 Terminal Services Client Access License (TS CAL).
If the server runs Windows 2000 Terminal Services, all clients must have a
WCAL and if they do not run Windows 2000/XP Pro they must also have a TS
CAL.
If the server runs Windows 2003 Terminal Services, all clients must have a
WCAL AND a TS CAL, no matter which OS they run. But if you had any Windows
XP Pro license at the time Windows 2003 was released, Microsoft gives you a
free TS CAL for each XP Pro license you had at that time.
