Hi,

We are running a small server under Windows 2000 Server SBE. Our only
Internet access just now is via an ADSL router/modem assigned with a dynamic
IP from the ISP...

Is it possible to use Windows Terminal Server from a remote Windows 2000
Professional client to access this server???

I thought the local IP's distrubuted via DHCP on the router were just local
to the office network; how do we go about getting IP(s) that the remote
client could use???

Or have I got this completely ass about face???

You must set a rule in your router that directs packets for port 3389
to your server's internal IP address (which must be fixed!).

You can then specify your installation's external IP address when
launching a Terminal Server session from outside.

Pegasus,

Thanks for your prompt reply - I'll give it a go... might be back in here
when I need help with the next problem...
