Windows Taskbar still appears in Slide Show Mode

When using a PPT presentation in slide show mode, the
windows task bar remains at the bottom of the screen. If
I clear the "Always on Top" checkbox on the taskbar
options, it disappears when I don't want it to. Any ideas?
 
In Edit Mode, click the "Sllide Show" menu item and select "Set up show".
make sure the "Presented by a speaker" option is checked and NOT the
"Browsed by an individual" option.
 
What happens when you give "focus" to the slide show, i.e. click anywhere on
the slide?

By the way, are you running dual monitors?
