What is the significance between red and green graphing of
CPU usage in Windows 2000 Pro? I use one machine with
multiple users. Sometimes I see only green on CPU Usage
graph, other times I see red below and green above. I
cannot find "red" in Task Monitor Help Index.

Hi Norman,

Instead of looking for "red" in the Task Manager Index, choose the Search tab and
type in red for the keyword.

Maybe you can help me with another Task Manager related problem?

I am running win2000 Pro, with the lastest service packs and security
upgrades.

When i hit Ctrl-Alt_del and select Task Manager, it
appears briefly on the screen, the closes.
IT is only active for a couple of seconds. I can't imagine
what's wrong, but i suspect that some rogue program may
have messed up my system.

Does anyone have any idea why this happens? Norton
Antivirus says there's no virus on my system, and no
Firewall violations.

but WHY does task manager exit every time i try to run it?

Thanks
carl
