Hi, can any one tell me how to perminantly remove so of the processes which
are running when you look in the windows task maager under processes, and
which one i must leave running. Also what is the System Idle Process that is
running as this is using upto 97% of the CPU.
Thanks Steve

Hi Steve

Please re-read 'System Idle' - i.e. the system *isn't* using that amount - the CPU *not* using 97% is *very* good.

Greetings --

The "System Idle Process" metric is the amount/percentage of time
that your CPU has *nothing* to do. A reading of 97% means you're
hardly using your computer at all. Think of it like a car's engine
idling in your driveway before you place the car in gear. Doesn't the
word "idle" mean the same thing in British English as it does in
American English?

You stupid ****ing ****! What does "metric" have anything to do with the percentage of a process?

"metric" means "measurement"

Duh, if it's metric it must be bad.
Oh, the Metric system is too hard.

Well in this case metric refers to the measurement.
water meter
gas meter
electric meter

all these meters do not measure length.
but they get their name as a derivitive of the word for mearurement
"METRIC"

Imagine that.
Having shot your ignorant (i mean arrogant) mouth off still haunts you.
Since the original post was over two years ago.
I popped in just seeking info on the task manager, and to my surprise your
genius graces this group not with advice and clarity but condacending
ridicule.

Who's the dink now?
