Windows Task Manager Change

Hi,
I keep having a random problem with Windows Task Manager
and I know it not only with my computer because it happen
on other Window XP computers, other than doing a system
restore I haven't got a clue how to fix it and I can
pretty much fix anything.
The proble is I either click someting or do something
that changes the look of Windows Task Manager in Windows
XP That makes the tabs and all the other windows except
the application window to dissapear. Just wondering does
anybody have any Idea on how to fix this problem?

Task Manager has a minimum mode for when you want to observe a process while
working. Move the cursor to the top edge of the TM window and double click.
