I know a few people have had problems with windows/system32/config/syste
And I have seen the recovery thing on this page where you have to copy all thoes folders, but it still won't work for me even after I copied all thoes things in recovery console, but after doing that it still wouldn't go into safe mode, and did exactly the same thing
Any ideas?

Try a boot into Safe Mode, by hitting F8 just before the "Starting
Windows" screen would appear (takes a bit of practice).
Choose LAST GOOD.

If the problem persists, try swapping current RAM (even if it checks
good) for a single, high-quality 512Mb chip. XP reportedly is sensitive
to memory timing.
