I have a PNY 7300GT 256mg video card. I'm using the latest Nvida
drivers(93.71). Everything has been working fine till last tuesday (04/24).
When I booted my computer the resolution had changed. I have mine set at
1440x900. I have a Proview 19" wide screen. The only thing I had done was on
Monday was update my directx 9c. Oh and btw Tuesday morning it was fine, but
when I turned it on Tuesday afternoon is when the resolution was the
resolution right below the 1440. I'm not at home so I don't know exactly what
it was something like 1368x900. So I did a restore back to Sunday before the
directx update. But it still happens from time to time. I'm running win xp
home sp2. I don't know what's causing this. Is it the card, the ecs
Nforce4A-m amd motherboard, nvida drivers? I did reinstall the drivers.
Anyone have any ideas? Also, the changing resolution rearranges my desktop
icons and I have to put them back the way I want them (and this is getting
annoing). I'm running windows xp home sp2. I did uninstall the video
drivers. Booted in safe mode did a driver cleaner. Reinstalled the drivers.
It worked for about a week then started in again. Only this time when I
rebooted or started up my computer it was 800x600 16bit 60mhz. Then I would
have to change to the correct resolution 1440x900 32bit 75mhz. But it
doesn't happen all the time. Any ideas?
