How do you have IE or Windows always open a link in a
maximized window that will take up the desktop like the
initial page. I hate opening multiple links to read
different articles and they are not all fullsceen. Is
there a way so when you open a link it windows stays the
same as the one you are in.

Thanks

IE usually save the next window size when it exits, so that the next time
that it starts it will use those size settings.

On your desktop shortcuts if your right-click and select properties there is
a Run option in the properties window. You can select Maximized there to
ensure that IE will always start in full screen.

Clicking on a link in a web page is another matter... there a web designer
can specify the size and position of the new explorer window that is going
to be opened.

You can double-click on the title bar of any explorer window to resize it to
full screen at any time.

Hi Brian,

1. Open a link.
2. Don't use the maximize button.
3. Stretch the edges/corners so that the window fills the screen.
4. Close all other IE windows.
5. Close the stretched window last.

Best option is to use "IE NEw Window maximizer"

(Uses Windows API calls and automatically maximizes every browser window you
open)
