Every time I use MM 5.1 windows shuts down, the message I get a blue screen
with this message
" A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent
damage to your computer.

PFN_LIST_CORRUPT

If this is the first time..."

I can use it for a little while then the blue screen.

Do not know why it happens or how to fix it.
I read everything, and the closest match is that it closes by itself, but no
one with the problem that windows shuts down.

I have to turn the comp. off and when I turn it on again I get the message
that windows has recovered from a fatal error.

I am scared that if I keep using it I will damage my comp.

Please HELP!!!!!!!

I'm not familiar with this error but the following
message says it may be caused by corrupted RAM.

windows xp crashes: PFN_LIST_CORRUPT

(if you click 'show all' to expand all the messages
there may be some additional info)

Also.....I wonder if the following article would
offer anything useful:

(920872) Audio playback does not play the
audio file from the correct position after you
pause it, and you randomly receive a Stop
error message when you try to play audio files
in Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2)

Good luck,
