I noticed a post that is simular to this, but I'm not sure
it's the same cause. My computer suddenly shuts down, just
as if the power has been shut off and then automatically
reboots. I always get the "recovered from a serious error"
window.
The MS site tells me that there is a problem with a
unknown device driver, I haven't installed anything new.
It seems to always happen when I'm on line, and when I'm
typing - either an Email, filling out an on-line form or
even when typing in MS Word 2000. Any help is appreciated.

Sounds like you might have the "Blaster Worm". Have you downloaded and
updated all the available security patches from MS? The worm will cause
your computer to crash and reboot when online. Check out fixes at Symantec
or at Microsoft.
Hope this helps...
