do somebody know something about windows seven?
a download link or screenshots or a featurelist?

Any information regarding "Windows 7" would
be pure speculation at this time.

FWIW here are supposed screenshots of Windows 7 Milestone 1.

I did hit a link last week that "claimed" to have Win 7 previews. They
looked Like Vista to me, at least in the UI. Found this too...

If true, then Vista users are beta testers for Vienna...funny.

Hahahah...are you really as dumb and stupid as you appear to be yet
still want us to believe that you're and IT?...LOL!
Rather sad, actually.

Actually, "Vienna" was more of a provisional working project title.
Microsoft has since settled on "Windows 7".

Since then it seems that Microsoft has changed its strategy again, and is
rushing the next version to be a quick fix for Vista. It's not even going
to be NT7, and will be NT6.1 (Like Win2000 (NT5) was to XP (NT5.1), by the
look of it, so that codename might change soon.
I doubt seriously whether Microsoft will shelve the "Aero" GUI anytime
soon.

If the Windows 7 GUI is not "Aero", it will be VERY SIMILAR to Aero,
and probably use the same presentation engine as Vista, with a few
cosmetic changes to make it look "different".

The previous GUI was introduced with Win95, so it is unlikely that it will
change that much again so soon, but it will be tweaked hopefully. If you
look back at previous early betas for XP or Longhorn, they never had
anything approaching the final released GUI.

ss.

How could it not be anything but Aero. Aero uses the GPU. There isn't going
to be a new type of processor for a few years yet, such as Intel's Larrabee.
I don't think the Windows developers have access to any of these new GPGPU
processors from either Intel or AMD. Maybe Windows 8 or 9 will have
something other than Aero.

not if you were to say:

- it will arrive late.
- it will be large, VERY large - and far larger than its predecessor.
- it will be expensive, yet offer little reason to upgrade.
- it will require you to buy all new hardware -and- software. (ooops, didnt
we mention that on the box?)
- it will basically be nothing more than a repacking of all previous Windows
OS's, bugs and all, with just a couple of system toys and lots of eye candy
tossed in to make it "appear" new.
- it will still suck.
- there will still be lots of fanboys kneeling & chanting in homage in front
of their home Microsoft shrines upon its release.

Oh, so you mean it will probably be better than Vista ?
