How and where can I set a DNS entry so the 2003 Server is able to
resolve its own domain name.
The computer name for the server is: CKTy8765 with a static ip of
192.168.254.40
I have users accessing their email with Exchange's Outlook Web Access
(OWA). When they type in http://comail.franklininc.com/exchange they
are getting an error message the page can not be found. However, if
they type in http://192.168.254.40/exchange or http://CKTy8765.franklininc.com/exchange
they can get in OK.
Windows 2003 Server, Primary Domain Controller and Exchange Server are
all within the same box. All the users are set with their 1st DNS
server setting as 192.168.254.40.
I looked at the "dnsmgmt" (Administrative Tools - DNS), but not sure
where I should make the entry. I am guessing its in the "Forward
Lookup Zones"?
Thanks
