Windows security updates 819696, 821557, 823980

After downloading these updates, the system locked up when
clicking on the internet explorer and other icons on the
task bar, as well as when I right clicked on icons on the
desktop (except Internet explorer). After removing the
three updates, the system worked fine.?????
 
Microsoft is aware of the 821557 problem with the short
cuts,they are working on a fix....Good luck
