When I start my computer I get a message from the Windows Security Centre
saying my firewall is off. Can it be set it so it automatically comes on and
stays on?
I also use Zone Alarm Security Program which also has a firewall that
automatically starts when I turn on my comp. Does this mean that I have 2
firewalls?
If so do I need both? If not how do I turn one off?
Any help with this is much appreciated

Yes, this means you have two firewalls. No, you don't need both. I'm
surprised that Zone Alarm didn't make the necessary changes so Security
Center won't give you this notice.

1. Make sure that the ZA firewall is really running and working.
2. Go to Control Panel>Windows Firewall and make sure it is Off.
3. Go to Control Panel>Security Center. Click on the link on the left,
"Change how Security Center alerts me" and uncheck the box next to the
Firewall.
