I keep getting "windows script host access is disabled" and I cna't see my
CD-ROM icons in "My Computer" I purchased Registry Mechanic to hopefully fix
registry and other errors, but I still get tghe same error, with no CD-Rom
icon. How do I "enable" windows script host?

These are two completely different problems; Windows Script Host is not
relevant to populating My Computer with CD-ROM icons.

The CD-ROM icons can often disappear if they are not assigned a drive letter
or if their drive letters are colliding, such as with Mapped Drive letters.
Open up the Computer Management window in Administrative Tools, then click
into the Disk Management tool. From there you should see your CD-ROM drives.
If they are not there, you probably have either a hardware problem or a
hardware driver problem. If they are there, double-check the drive letters
and make sure that they are not colliding with mapped network drives. If
they do not have drive letters, right-click the CD-ROM device in question to
configure it with a drive letter.

Good luck,
