I have a HP Pavilion dv9005us and just recently installed Windows Vista Home
Premium (34 bit) on my laptop. After doing so, I realized that my screen is
all smashed up [up-and-down (as opposed to side-to-side)]. It's really
annoying and I would be so very happy if anyone could help me with this.
Thank you!!

After you install an operating system, you must then install drivers for
all your hardware, including the video (which is why your screen doesn't
look right). Go to HP's website and download drivers for Vista for the
dv9005us. You will want drivers for the motherboard (chipset), audio,
video, network, and any laptop-specific software such as power
management software.
