Hi,
^^" sorry, I am a new user, so I got lots of problems
don't know how to solve. I would like to ask how come the
windows always running slow after a year or so, and I
have to reinstall the OS every year so to make it run
faster. Is it because I install too many software and
causing the windows slow? Is there any better way to
solve this problem? Will those registry cleaner software
help to improve the performance?
I tried the Disk defragment, but it doesn't have any
obvious improvement. I run the McAfee quick clean but no
use either. So.... what else can I do other than
reinstall the OS?? Millions Thanks. :=)

Your system runs slow after a year. You ask why you have to reinstall the
O/S every year to solve the problem. Yet, you consider yourself a "new
user".

It would seem, I think, that you are a long time user who just did not take
the time to learn about your computer! Maybe it is time you purchase a few
good computer books, or visit your library!

.
We'll lets see
dead registry entrys (from removed programs)
SPYWARE SPYWARE SPYWARE!!!!!!
Background services that you dont use or need
To many start up programs
Not enough Ram
The list goes on, I've had my computer for 22 months and
have noticed No system degrading at all, but then I do
regular maintenance on it.And I DO NOT install Hotfixes
that do not apply!!!! I'm sure that you have Q811493
installed, remove it. A stand alone computer does not
need it.

Stupid answer. This is the same as saying."You've driven
your car for a year, it's about time you learned how to
strip the engine down and rebuild it. Get real. If you
can't help then just shut up.

.You failed to mention how much hard drive you have or
how much memory you have. You may not have much hard
drive space or you may not have that much memory. Now
days you need at least 256mbDDR ram or you need at least
512mbSDR. I have an older computer and run 512MBSDR and a
120 Gb hard drive. I was having problems with mine until
I went with more memory and bigger hard drive.
