windows running extremely slow

We are having difficulty with our computer. Windows runs extremely slow, when we sign onto our account all these windows pop up. i.e. kaza, trying to delete, instant messenger and when connected to the internet new internet connections are made without trying. I am not very savvy on computers. So I am looking for explicit instructions. I have run the disc defragmenter, but I don't know how to check rams? etc. Plus computer freezes when on internet and working with windows. I have Norton anti virus and have scanned for viruses. taking care of that now. seems as though things are running in the backgroud of computer. don't know how to delet items (kaza) add/delete programs won't work.

I but you have a load of crapware/malware running on your computer that is
slowing it up. Install Ad-Aware from:
http://www.lavasoftusa.com scan and remove this junk.
