this error message appears when I start up my computer
saying that the file is missing or corrupted...
<Windows root>\system32\ha l.dll.
How do I solve this problem? What do I have to re-install
to fix the problem?

I'd suggest that you run a Repair Install. While there are "fixes" that one
can attempt that are less drastic I've found that they are often more time
consuming than running a Repair Installation. If you need information on
