windows reactivation

just installed a new IDE driver and now windows xp says "signigicant equipment (?) changes since windows first activated, must reactivate in three days"....how come and how do I reactivate?, when i click on the ok button to reactive nothing happens...
used the backup feature to go back to a point before the new driver was installed, the installation program that was included with the IDE driver is now gone, but i still get the "reactivate within 3 days message". How do I do this? Is there a number to call, or what?
