Hi

I have been given a task of installing 3 different
operating systems onto a single machine. (xp, me and 98)
and then being able to log onto any1 of them as required.

Can any1 give me any pointers as to how i go about this.

Cheers

To use 98 and ME on the same PC, you'll need third party software like
Partition Magic.

You need to format and partition the disk with at least 3
partitions, an extra partition or two for data would be a
good idea.
Then you install 98 on C:
Then you install ME on D:, it should see that 98 is
installed and ask whether you want to upgrade or do a second
install,
Then you install XP.

Do a Google for "dual boot XP"

Hi Gary,

Install them oldest to newest (98->ME->XP), each to a different partition.
Do not fret that after installing ME you cannot see 98 (ME's bootloader,
like Win98's, does not support multi-boot installations). When you install
XP, it should see the two existing Operating Systems and add them to the
bootloader (if not you can add it after-the-fact using bootcfg). Start the
WinME from within the Win98 installation, choose a new install. Same thing
for XP, start it from within ME and choose new install, not upgrade.

Keep in mind that should you ever reinstall 98 or ME, you will need to run
the XP Recovery Console to recover the bootloader with the bootcfg command.

Why would anyone need Windows 98, Me, and XP on the same computer? What
unique thing/method/task is your boss trying to accomplish? What
business is he/her employed by? Without further information, it sounds
suspiciously like "make work".
