Hello

Using XPe sp2 logging into a windows 2003 domain, i've all of a sudden seen
this problem.

An error occurred while the wizard was checking the current Windows product
license. Error Code: 0x80070005 and I'm not ble to login with any account.

Anyone have any ideas?

1. Does XPe image boots and you can access the local OS?
2. Have you successfully joined the domain via XPe? If so, how long has it
been since the XPe system joined the domain?
3. Have you been able to login into the Domain before?
4. Is EWF or FBWF in the image? If they are do you have the Registry filter
in the image?

The pc has been on the domain for about 7 months. I'm not sure why, but
after a restart and waiting a few minutes, i was able to log back in. I'm
wondering that if a MS patch isn't the culprit in this case. I've read that
the Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Tool may be a issue????

oh...no EWF or FBWF.

Jason,

Are you saying you've got WU working on your XPe image? It is not supported,
even though you can get some updates with WU.
The Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Tool should not work for XPe.

You may want to check the Event logs to see what happened on your device.

No, in our domain environment, I assume our I.T. department is using MS SMS
to push patches.

The Windows Genuine Advantage Validation tool is just a guess on my part,
based on what I read when I googled the error code.
