I had my XP computer up and running. I had a startup problem and used my XP
disk to repair the opsys, but a problem has developed. After the repair when
the computer starts up I get a Windows Product Activation dialog: "The copy
of Windows must be activated with Microsoft before you can log on. Do you
want to activate Windows now?" When I select 'YES', I get another dialog
that says' "Microsoft Feeds Synchronization has encountered a problem and
needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." I then get a dialog to
report the problem after the error report is complete the system just hangs
up. Is there anyway to fix this problem without doing a fresh install of the
opsys?

Thanks, you wouldn't happen to have that # handy or know from where I can get
it?

I figured it would come if I could run the computer I am having the problem
with but since I could not log on; the validate messagebox comes up as soon
as click after entering the password. After I click the OK button it never
completes bootup so that I am at the desktop.

You might lose, I have not found it so far. Plenty of info on the process
and where to find it on the computer. I thought about trying one of my other
computers, but figured since they were already activated I would not get
anywhere.
