windows preview on taskbar

hi i have vista home premium and used to be have windows preview on the
taskbar i have just went to select this again and found the select box has
been grayed out. does any1 know why this is pls?

Can you check to make sure that Aero is enabled?

Right-click the desktop and go to Personalize. A window will appear, the
option at the top will be Window Color and Appearance, click on that.

Now if you get a window called 'Window Color and Appearance' click on 'Open
classic appearance properties for more color options' (if Aero is disabled
you'll be taken directly to this window). You'll get an additional window
open called 'Appearance Settings' in that will be listed Windows Aero, Vista
Basic and Standard along with a few other options. Select Windows Aero and
press OK.
