New Inspiron B130 laptop, XP Home, trying to use Verizon Mobile Office cell
phone connection for internet. When I try to install Verizon Mobile Office
software I ghe the message "software has not passed windows Logo testing to
verify its compatibility with Windows XP"
It looks like Windows is picky here. Any way to get around this? surely
these verizon phones are in use all the time. Verizon support people don't
have any answers. Sad Huh? The system worked fine on my old laptop using ME.
Also USB ports work fine with other devices, mouse, printer, etc.
Any ideas?

You should go to Verizon's website for updated drivers/software for your
phone and to their tech support for help with their products. This
isn't a case of "Windows is picky" but rather that you are trying to
run software designed for a completely different operating system on
XP.

As Malke said, if you are trying to install the WinME drivers on an XP
machine, well that don't work - WinME is based on the old MS-DOS Operating
System, WinXP is the new genre, based on the NT Operating System (aka no
MS-DOS).
