Windows Picture & Fax viewer problems

Hi, I am pretty new to Windows XP, and I have a
question. In the past couple of days I have not been
able to view pictures when I try to open them from an
attachment in an email. It opens up the Windows Picture
and Fax Viewer, then it tells me "No Preview Available".
It has been working fine until the past 2 days. What do
I need to do to be able to see them again? Any help
would be appreciated.
