I used to be able to send my pictures from the windows picture and fax viewer to directly to editing by clicking on the button at the botom of the viewer that closes that program and send the image to editing. When I click on it now the program just closes. How do I set this to work as before? Thanks for any help

This problem has been reported several times but unfortunately no solution
has been provided yet. Just right click on the picture and click on Open
with on the opening list and select Paint or other editing software until a
solution is provided. Maybe SP2 will correct this.

Thank you Yves for your prompt reply. I have been opening the editing program manually and it works fine. Has this problem been reported to Microsoft yet. My problem started happening after I downloaded the latest version of Adobe reader that also came with their photo editor. I have since removed the Adobe photo editor. I believe that the new photo program must of set to default.
One last question: what is SP2? Thanks again for your help.

SP2 is simply a new Service Pack being prepared by Microsoft to update SP1.
It should make your computer more secure and remove a lot of annoyance when
you are on the Internet and we all hope it will also remove known "bugs"
from XP such as the one you reported.
If you are on automatic XP update you will be notified when it is ready to
download. If you are not, you should check for it periodically by clicking
on Start and Help and Support and Scan for updates.
