Where is the Picture and Fax Viewer located in the system
folder. I want to point my fax software to use it as the
viewer.
Thanks

The Windows Picture and Fax Viewer is located
in the shimgvw.dll file.

C:\Windows\System32\shimgvw.dll

If you right click one of your files and choose...
Properties / Change button...couldn't you choose
Windows Picture and Fax Viewer to open the file?

Also, maybe the following site will be useful:

Isn't there and exe file I can point my software to. The
problem is our company uses a 3rd party viewer to view
certain files our prepress dept creates and they happen
to be .dcx and .tiff format but to view our faxes it
isn't the best software. If I change the file association
then the program they use to view the prepress images
will not open correctly.

Thanks

Not for Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. It's
not a program that is launched with an .exe file.

If you run the following command...followed by a
space and the complete path to a compatible file
....the file will be launched in Windows Picture and
Fax Viewer but I cannot see how that would be
useful in your situation.

rundll32.exe %SystemRoot%\System32\shimgvw.dll,ImageView_Fullscreen

Sorry, but I have no further suggestions.
