Hi, I have just completed a clean reinstall with vista prem, everything seems
to work ok. I notice now that I have a folder called "windows.old" with all
my installed programs I'd installed before reinstall.
Questions are....do i really need this folder, does vista use it?
Can i copy and paste a program from there to save on downloading again or
would this cause problems?

thanks Vistaman

When you dont need the software thats included in "windows.old" you can
remove it, it is a sort of backup from an older version .

You will need the setup files to reinstall your software,
you cannot simply copy and paste an application due to the multiple registry
entries required
