All,

I am trying to upgrade an older sever (PDC) Windows NT 4 SP6a to Windows
2000. During the Upgrade process the upgrade complains about a driver
problem with an integrated RAID controller which we do not even use.

Is there a way to force the Windows Upgrade process to continue with the
upgrade process and ignore the driver issue since we don't use it?

The are no 2k drivers for this card nor is there a firmware updrade for and
since it is integrated, I cannot remove it from the system.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Can you turn it off in the bios ?

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I did infact turn it off in the BIOS and even looked
for jumpers (but none were present) but still the Upgrade seem to be seeing
it.

Regards,

Can you interupt the upgrade process and add in the SCSI driver manually from
floppy disc?
I have had this problem with upgrading some HP proliant servers and i had to
add the scsi drivers by pressing f6 at the initial 'blue screen' faze where
all the other drivers such as IDE CDROM etc are loaded.
Have all the drivers in NT4 been updated to the latest versions? Many of the
later NT4 drivers also seemed to be supported by win2k.
