I know this group isn't for NT messaging, but I couldn't find any group
specifically for it. Please direct me to the appropriate group if there
is one.
My questions are:
If you go to a command prompt and type in "msg /?" it will tell you that
the /w switch will wait for a response from the user. But it doesn't to
do anything - the message is sent just as if the /w switch wasn't used.
What am I missing? Or, what does it do?
Is there a GUI I can use or desktop shortcut I can use to give a dialog
box for entering the message and selecting a user (recipient)? Please
don't suggest the Computer Management console, as it gives me an error
message that it's an invalid name or the computer isn't on; however, it
works using that name in a command prompt with the msg command.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
