Windows NT Backup - Restore Utility - Help

I downloaded and installed the Windows NT Backup - Restore utility to restore
some files from an old XP backup to my new Vista machine. The restore worked
fine, however it seems that the USERS folder has now disappeared from the
root of C

The data is still there and I can access it via the shortcuts I have on my
desktop...just cannot see and navigate USERS in Explorer
 
Could someone answer this? I have the same question...something was messed up
with the security accesses and now I cannot see my C:\users\grnemo folder but
I can access it via the shortcuts. I think somehow is hidden now...what
happens?\

Ok...so its not just a "one off" in my case....not only was the file system
effected, but also the system restore points got trashed....I could not
restore from any of my previous restore points.

I have an OEM copy of Vista, so I called HP for help...their
advice...re-install the OS ! I did subsequently restore the OS and all is
fine now....although I definitely wont be going anywhere near Windows NT
Backup/Restore again.
