windows not closing

Running ie6 sp2 on winxp. Just recently, windows won't close- just get a
beep and when I alt-control-delete get a 'not responding' message. Any
ideas?
 
There's a good possibility that this is being caused by a third-party
program (adware, spyware, parasite)

Download, install, update and run these two programs:
Ad-aware from http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/
Spybot from http://security.kolla.de/

Yeah, I installed a nasty little thing called My Way and it seems fine now.
